    Job Summary

    The Department of Computer Science in the Soules College of Business at The University of Texas at Tyler is seeking a non-tenure track full-time lecturer to start in the Spring 2025 semester. The successful applicant must hold at least a Master's degree in Computer Science and experience teaching undergraduate computer science courses.

    Tenure Status: Non-Tenure Track

    Start Date: Spring 2025

    Priority application deadline is October 31, 2024, but review of applications will begin immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.

    Essential Functions
  • Teaching - Typical teaching load is four courses per semester.
  • Service - Service at the department, college, university levels.


Required Qualifications
  • Master Degree in Computer Science.


Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Computer Science, Experience teaching courses in Computer Science.

Additional Information

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code Section 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
