About the Department:

The Mason Student Services Center (MSSC) is the first stop and central resource for information and solutions related to registration, enrollment, financial aid, billing, academic records, and other student support services.

About the Position:

The MSSC is seeking a highly motivated and versatile non-student wage employee for a part-time position as a Forms Processing Specialist. The Forms Processing Specialist is responsible for updating official student records based on academic program change request forms. The MSSC seeks to fill this role with an individual that has 25-29 flexible working hours per week, at a pay rate of $20-$22 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.

Responsibilities:

The primary duties of this position are repetitive and desk-based. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Utilizing Salesforce to manage the academic change form queue;
  • Timely processing of a high volume of Change of Academic Program forms;
  • Making updates to student records in Ellucian Banner;
  • Electronically stamping documents for record keeping and auditing purposes;
  • Ensuring all processed documents adhere to specific standards;
  • Assisting other internal offices with document-related requests;
  • First point of contact for troubleshooting, resolving processing errors, or time-sensitive requests;
  • Handling confidential information with tact and professionalism; and
  • Performs duties in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Data entry experience;
  • Microsoft Office experience;
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Precise and consistent attention to detail is mandatory for this role;
  • Experience working independently;
  • Possess strong organizational skills; and
  • Exhibit strong work ethic, exceptional professionalism, and proven reliability.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Higher education experience;
  • Experience with record keeping; and
  • Salesforce experience.
