Job Details
Full-time, temporary assistant professor to teach Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Microbiology, or Introductory Biology courses. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses for both biology majors and non-majors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching work load (24 semester hours of credit of instruction per school year), and preparation for classroom and laboratory instruction.
- Provide student assistance including academic advising.
- Participate in faculty, committee and departmental meetings as well as curriculum review and development, program reviews and student outcomes assessment.
- Continuing scholarship and professional activities which include contribution to the content of the discipline, participation in or contribution to professional organizations and societies, research demonstrated by published or unpublished work, public service and contributions to the professional growth and development of the university community.
- Participation in scheduled orientation and registration programs.
- Attendance at university functions, including commencement and convocation.
- Instructional responsibilities may include courses for majors and non-majors.
- Opportunities to teach summer, winter term, online and undergraduate and graduate evening courses.
