Position Summary:
The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) seeks a skilled Systems Administrator to join our Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) Technology Team. We are looking for a highly technical professional to support and manage our enterprise hybrid IT environment, providing critical infrastructure services for the campus community.
The Systems Administrator possess a compilation of technical experience, knowledge and understanding for the following, but not limited to; Microsoft AD, VMware, Cloud Services (AWS / Google / Zoom), Hardware (Servers / Storage) Systems, Print Systems, System Management, Networking, Communication services, and related infrastructure in an enterprise hybrid environment. Provide consultation, technical assistance, establish efficient and reliable IT environment for the College Community.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and support enterprise hybrid architecture across hardware, software, networking, and cloud platforms
- Administer Microsoft Active Directory and enterprise systems
- Maintain and optimize virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Support cloud services including AWS, Google Cloud, and Zoom
- Manage server and storage hardware systems
- Oversee print systems and network communications
- Provide technical consultation and support to campus departments
- Associates Degree or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in an area related to information technology
- Windows Server and Active Directory
- Linux operating systems
- VMware virtualization
- Cloud service platforms (AWS, Google, Zoom)
- Networking equipment (Extreme Networks preferred)
- Strong understanding of enterprise hybrid infrastructure
- Ability to establish efficient and reliable IT environments
