Angelo State University invites applications for a tenure track, chaired position as an advanced assistant professor of entrepreneurship in the Management and Marketing Department in the Norris-Vincent College of Business. This is a fulltime, nine-month faculty position that is partially supported by an endowment and includes an annual goods and services budget.

The successful candidate in this position will have experience and training (at the doctoral level) to teach courses in entrepreneurship and small business management. They will hold the Wisniewski Chair in Entrepreneurship. In addition to normal teaching, research, and service requirements, the faculty member will be responsible for coordinating entrepreneurship and small business activities that will give the college visibility in, and serve, the local community. They will be expected to have a good relationship with ASU’s Small Business Development Center. Eventually, the faculty member will also be expected to formulate and supervise a certificate in entrepreneurship.

Effective teaching, service, and publication in peer-reviewed journals are required for tenure and promotion, consistent with the policies of the Norris-Vincent College of Business and Angelo State University.

The business programs offered by the Norris-Vincent College of Business are accredited by AACSB and candidates will need to hold and maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status based on the College’s guidelines (regular publishing in acceptable academic journals) for such status.
