We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in Computing Infrastructure and Network Engineering Technology. This domain addresses the foundational and advanced aspects of computing infrastructure and the intricacies of network design and maintenance, resonating with our majors that prepare students to construct and manage resilient tech ecosystems.

 

Job Duties

 

As a vital faculty member, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, designing interactive labs, creating comprehensive course assessments, and leading a team of dedicated teaching assistants. At Purdue, we believe in fostering a collaborative environment, and you will be an integral part of our vibrant teaching community.

 

Qualifications

 

Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. or expect to complete their Ph.D. by August 2025 in Computer and Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. Prior teaching experience and/or relevant industry experience is preferred.

 

Compensation

$90,000 - $105,000

The Department of Computer and Information Technology was established in 1978 and has since grown to include more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and thousands of alumni around the world. Our program is offered in Indiana at locations in West Lafayette, Anderson, Columbus, and Kokomo. Many faculty have several years of industry experience and maintain active consulting practices. The bachelor’s degree in computer and information technology was one of the first baccalaureate IT programs to attain accreditation from the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET (http://www.abet.org).
