About the Opportunity:
The primary purpose of the Research Assistant will be conducting experiments, recording and analyzing data, and organizing results in a form suitable for publication. The Research Assistant will be under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. The job may include organizing and cleaning data, mathematical and theoretical modeling, assisting postdoctoral research associates with ongoing research projects, conducting independent research projects, keeping excellent records, and presenting at lab meetings and scientific conferences. It is important that the Research Assistant possesses an eagerness to learn new scientific ideas and methods, and is able to follow instructions with precision.

Responsibilities:
45% The Research Assistant will perform research under the direction of the lab director and postdoctoral research associates.

15% The Research Assistant will assist the PI and graduate students in drafting materials for new grant applications.

10% The Research Assistant will participate and present results at lab meetings and conferences.

10% The Research Assistant will prepare reports/research papers for publication and dissemination.

10% The Research Assistant is responsible for writing up research and modeling results in a format suitable for publication.

Qualifications:
The Research Assistant should have a minimum of an BA/BS in Biology, or a related network science field with a minimum of two years of research experience. Motivation to learn new techniques, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
