Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Part-time Workforce Development Information Technology Specialist position. The Part-time Workforce Development Information Technology Specialist is a grant funded position. The Specialist will work the Director of Workforce Development for Information Technology in helping to grow the various non-credit and workforce development courses as well as certificate training IT programs.  They will assist with planning and coordinating the administrative phases of these programs, including the CISCO Academy Support and Instructor Training Center.

Position will work 25 hours per week and will be based at the Blue Bell campus with occasional work at the Pottstown campus.

*This position is contingent upon grant-funding with an expected end date of 8/31/2025.

*This position has been approved for a flexible work option arrangement. Flexible work options can be ended at any time by the College, Cabinet, and/or supervisors based on employee performance and/or as institutional needs change.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Education/Training/Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required At least one (1) year of general work experience required Minimum of six (6) months experience of CISCO Networking Academy, its programs and its training center required

 

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrated team and organizational skills Proven skills in handling detailed tasks and multiple assignments Established interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated record of being able to work well with people in a service organization. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various types of individuals and companies.
