Job Details
The infrastructure support specialist supports the Information Technology team with the campus network, campus servers, help desk support, and assists with infrastructure and security operations for the College. Responsibilities include technical support through account creation and account directory maintenance such as email and file access, supporting the infrastructure team through patching, server maintenance, and as the first level of support for users, providing documentation of account creation and termination and access controls, providing support to users of the campus network servers and the Internet, including network servers and remote access servers, assuring the timely diagnosis and repair of college-owned networking and server equipment, coordinating network services to the residence halls including the supervision of student network assistants, and serving as the on-site technical coordinator for the college’s systems and related services. Availability and flexibility to work some evenings and weekends. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with post-secondary training in a computer-related field preferred, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, the ability to multitask with success with a keen attention to detail, and literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
