Job Summary:
Assists with the maintenance of the statewide Diagnostic Imaging program. Assists students and provides feedback in the clinical setting. Work is performed in locations throughout Oregon.
Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
- Position requires AA/AS/ AGS degree in related field, including completion of diagnostic imaging clinical internship/externship and program.
Licenses and Certificates:
- Must have a valid American Registry of Radiological Technologists Certification.
- A valid Oregon driver’s license and access to reliable transportation is required.
- Must meet and maintain a driving record which complies with the college’s driver’s status guidelines.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have a working knowledge of imaging techniques and procedures sufficient to instruct and tutor students on an informal level.
- Considerable knowledge in the clinical setting of Diagnostic Imaging is necessary.
- Must be knowledgeable about program admission and application requirements.
- Strong communication skills required in order to interact with and assist students.
Abilities:
- Ability to evaluate and interact with students in the clinical setting.
- Requires the ability to perform image critique and technical evaluations.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in both formal and informal settings with students, instructors, and other interested partners.
Additional related work experience and experience providing educational program support is preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Physical Skills and Abilities:
Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate imaging equipment. Requires hearing and speaking skills sufficient to communicate with staff and students. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and operate imaging equipment.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a hospital setting with potential exposure to health or safety hazards due to the nature of health care. Regular travel, using own automobile or transportation, is required to locations throughout the state of Oregon. Early and late hours may be required.
Essential Duties:
- Assists the program chair in maintaining the comprehensive statewide Diagnostic Imaging distributed education at each partner organization. Provides information regarding admission requirements and the application process. Assists with program recruitment.
- Acts as liaison with program partner health care facilities, partner community college partners, and program students.
- Performs various services and activities which support the instructional program at statewide locations, including providing problem-solving resolutions for students, health care facilities, and community colleges regarding all aspects of the Diagnostic Imaging program.
- Assists students in the clinical setting, providing hands-on demonstrations and appropriate feedback regarding their developing skills in image production.
- Proctors tests as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
