Vice President of Student Affairs
American International University, Kuwait 

Position Requires Relocation to Kuwait.
Position accepts single, unaccompanied candidates, only.

We are looking for talented individuals to join our team. The ideal candidate would lead with vision and purpose to oversee the strategic planning, execution, and assessment of student affairs and enrollment management, aligning all efforts with the institution’s mission. Drive the success of assigned departments, ensuring they meet and exceed the college’s goals and objectives.

Duties:

  • Serve as the chief student advocate, overseeing student support programs, policies, and services.
  • Collaborate with institutional partners to ensure successful program transfer and implementation.
  • Work with VPAA and VPESL on enrollment management, student outreach, retention, and academic advising.
  • Align enrollment efforts with the college’s strategic plan.
  • Lead marketing and research initiatives for student services.
  • Manage Student Information Systems and supervise Enrollment, Scholarship Services, Student Life, Registration, athletics, counseling, and career services.
  • Oversee staff selection, training, evaluations, and performance management.
  • Assist in institutional budgeting by providing accurate projections and prioritizing needs
  • Prepare and present reports and correspondence related to student affairs.
  • Represent the college at community events and serve on committees and task forces.
  • Stay informed on developments in enrollment management, student services, and higher education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of enrollment services, student programs and student life.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Skilled in strategic planning, prioritizing, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing divisional budgets.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in student information systems and standard software.
  • Familiarity with social media in higher education.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Experience and Education:

  • Master's degree required; preferred in Higher Education Administration/Student Personnel or related field
  • Experience in the higher education environment, in increasingly complex executive roles
  • Experience in the supervision of enrollment management and/or student development programs and personnel
  • Experience in the application and implementation of technology in student affairs, particularly student information systems
  • Experience in the development, management, and oversight of institutional budgets
  • Experience with research and use of data in enrollment and/or student affairs
