Description
Clemson University's Bioengineering Department is seeking applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with expertise on multiscale computational modeling including bioimaging and biotransport research for both orthopaedic and dental disorders. We seek an innovative scholar with a strong commitment to excellence in basic science, translational, and clinical studies research, as well as teaching and service. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary team at the interface of engineering and life and clinical sciences contributing to the advancement of musculoskeletal research. This position offers the opportunity to lead impactful research, collaborate with experts across disciplines, and mentor the next generation of bioengineering professionals. The position will be at the Clemson-MUSC Bioengineering Joint Program in Charleston, South Carolina, with a start date of August 15, 2025.


Qualifications
1) PhD in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related Engineering and science discipline with post-doctoral research experience. 2) Expertise in multiscale computational modeling with focus on bioimaging, biotransport, cryopreservation, and mechanobiology for applications to musculoskeletal or dental systems evidenced by a strong publication record and potential to secure extramural funding. 3) Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration, especially with clinical researchers or industry partners, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
