Job Details

The School of Business at Gordon College is seeking the right individual to join our growing faculty team! Our small classes and active community allow faculty to develop strong relationships with students and colleagues. We are seeking an individual who exhibits excellence in the scholarship or practice of business management, is a committed Christian, and is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of Christian business leaders.

Located on Boston’s North Shore, a beautiful coastal area with classic New England towns and easy access to the Boston area, Gordon College is a vibrant Christian community committed to the liberal arts. We strive to foster conversation at the intersection of faith and cultural engagement in a wide variety of disciplines, all with the mission to prepare Christian men and women to actively participate in every community in which they find themselves.

Gordon College invites applications for a full-time, nine-month Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor appointment in Business Management. The position can be either tenure-track with research responsibilities, or a three-year, non-tenure track, renewable Professor in the Practice appointment. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The position begins August 2025. The successful candidate will play a significant role in our established undergraduate major in Business Management and collaborate on foundational knowledge of management for other programs. Principal teaching responsibilities will include foundational courses such as introduction to business and principles of management, as well as electives in the candidate’s area of expertise, such as leadership, human resource management, and/or organizational behavior. The successful candidate will also help to facilitate internship opportunities for students interested in management and participate in other associated service activities, including advising students with a Business Management major.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate a dynamic Christian faith.
  • Have an advanced degree in business, with a doctoral degree completed by August 2025 if a tenure-track candidate.
  • Have significant professional experience in business management and plans for continuing contributions to the practice, if a Professor of Practice candidate.
  • Have evidence of a promising research program, if a tenure-track candidate.

Interested applicants must submit:

  • A cover letter that addresses the applicant’s interest in the specific position and fit with the Christian mission of Gordon College.
  • A CV that includes the names and contact information of three references.
  • Statement of teaching philosophy.
  • A sample of academic writing, if a tenure-track candidate.

Gordon College is an equal opportunity employer. Qualified applicants for employment will receive consideration without discrimination on the basis of race, color, gender, age, national origin, or disability.
