Summary:
Washington & Jefferson College is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Annual Giving Officer to join its Development & Alumni Engagement team. This individual will play a key role in shaping and executing the College's annual giving strategy, working closely with various departments to increase support for the College's mission and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for Washington & Jefferson College's annual giving programs, aiming to increase donor participation and revenue.
- Assist in the execution of electronic, direct mail, and text campaigns, including coordination with external vendors and ensuring timelines are met.
- Analyze trends, identify donor segments, and develop data-informed strategies for solicitation.
- Manage donor lists, track annual fund data, and leverage analytics to optimize fundraising efforts.
- Lead the strategy of PrezProjects, W&J's crowdfunding platform, by coordinating with departments, faculty, and student organizations to launch and support successful campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Development & Alumni Communications to design and implement the strategy for W&J's annual Day of Giving.
- Partner with the Alumni & Student Engagement Specialist to develop and support the Student Philanthropy Program, educating students on the importance of giving back to the College.
- Work closely with colleagues across Development & Alumni Engagement, as well as other campus departments, to advance annual giving initiatives and foster a strong culture of philanthropy at W&J.
- A bachelor's degree required.
- 3-5 years of experience in annual giving or fundraising, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Demonstrated success in managing annual giving campaigns, crowdfunding, and data-driven fundraising strategies.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work with fundraising databases and analyze data to inform strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a diverse range of constituents.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to execute complex tasks efficiently.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments.
