SUNY Broome Community College is a comprehensive community college located in the scenic Southern Tier of New York. The College has over 7,700 students annually, and services over 6,100 students per semester in Liberal Arts, Business & Professional Studies, Health Sciences, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs. An additional 1,600 students are served through the College's workforce and non-credit programs.
Job Description:
The Department of Electrical Engineering Technology at SUNY Broome Community College is seeking a talented and experienced Adjunct Instructor to join our team! We're looking for a highly qualified individual to teach and mentor students in our Electrical Engineering Technology program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering technology, with expertise in areas such as circuit analysis, electronics, and control systems.
As an Adjunct Instructor, you'll be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses and contributing to the department's outreach activities. We want to hear from you if you're passionate about sharing your knowledge and expertise with the next generation of engineers!
These positions are filled on an as-needed basis and are on-going recruitment efforts. Applicants are contacted/hired for assignments based on college needs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creating Syllabus.
- Teaching under the guidance of the department chairperson.
- Helping students master course content.
- Assessing student learning outcomes.
- Utilizing current learning management system technology (Brightspace) in the performance of job duties.
- Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Fulfilling other duties as outlined in the Faculty contract.
Requirements:
A Master's or Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.

Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
