Summary

This position offers the learning experience about research protocols and procedures while ensuring compliance with established guidelines. The intern/aide will have the opportunity to participate and learn about participant recruitment while engaging in effectively recruiting participants and developing skills for participant screenings and research. The intern will also partake in learning Data Management processes to ensure accurate entering of research data and compliance of research information.

Job Purpose

Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.

Job Duties
  • Recruits Participants: Screens medical records and recruit participants via phone.
  • Collects Blood Samples: Assists with blood processing following safety protocols.
  • Measures Vital Signs: Records blood pressure, heart rate, height, and weight.
  • Conducts Clinical Interviews: Perform structured clinical interviews with participants.
  • Enters Data: Accurately inputs research data into databases.
  • Audits Data: Reviews data for accuracy and consistency.
  • Reviews Protocols: Participates in training on research protocols.
  • Collaborates with Team: Works with research coordinators to support projects.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
