Job Details
The Division of Teacher Education, Health, and Rehabilitation Services is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor committed to K-12 education and bringing diverse experiences to the field. The successful candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: curriculum, instruction, and assessment in elementary and secondary education; working with diverse learners in inclusive public school settings; English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) methods; instructional technology; STEM education; Educational Leadership; or other related fields. The teaching load for this position is twelve (12) credits per semester. Additionally, this candidate will have the opportunity to teach undergraduate and graduate courses across different modalities such as in-person, online, and hybrid instruction.
The responsibilities of this position include teaching and advising students, serving on division and university committees, engaging in professional and scholarly activities, mentoring, recruiting students and campus and community service.
The Assistant Professor position will have a starting annual salary of $57,806, plus a 10% employer retirement contribution. We are hiring for two (2) faculty positions simultaneously. Candidates are encouraged to apply for both positions. Both positions will start Fall 2025.

Required Qualifications:
- A doctorate in Education; Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment; or a related field is required for tenure; or ABD at the time of hire will be considered at the instructor level
- A minimum of two (2) years of full-time teaching experience in K-12 classrooms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching a variety of courses in secondary education
- Experience teaching a variety of courses in education
- Experience working with rural schools
- Familiarity with instructional technology
- Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate education courses in traditional, blended, and online formats
