The Graduate Admissions Counselor plays a pivotal role in supporting access to higher education by engaging with prospective students and guiding them through the enrollment process. As a representative of the University of Indianapolis, you will develop strategic recruitment plans, foster relationships with community partners, and deliver exceptional service to a diverse student population. This position is ideal for a highly organized, enthusiastic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values student-centered service.

Responsibilities:

Provide first-class customer service while managing multiple recruitment and outreach efforts.
Meet with prospective students to discuss graduate programs, the application process, and financial aid options.
Develop and execute recruitment plans in collaboration with university leadership.
Represent the university at on- and off-campus events, including fairs and conferences.
Conduct presentations for individuals and groups to promote the university and its programs.
Build and maintain relationships with undergraduate institutions, community colleges, and other recruitment partners.
Utilize technical resources and predictive modeling to inform admissions strategies.
Evaluate student applications and academic credentials in accordance with university policies.
Use the CRM system to track interactions, maintain data integrity, and process admissions decisions.
Demonstrate ethical, responsible behavior and contribute to a positive team environment.
Travel and work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience:
  • Previous experience in customer service is required, with preference for roles involving relationship building, recruitment, or presentations.
  • Proven ability to assess and address individuals' interests and needs is preferred.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
Additional Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours when necessary.
  • High energy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-cultural interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical and student-centered practices.
