Responsibilities:
• Research, identify, and write new (or continued) government, corporate, foundation, and private funding prospects to match Delta State priorities.
• Coordinate and follow up on the progress of submitted proposals.
• Remain up-to-date on current issues relative to grant proposals.
• Meet regularly (in-person or virtually) with faculty/staff to discuss current and new funding needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in grant writing or proposal development.
• Previous grant budget development and management.
• Opportunities; comprehensive knowledge of research, and the ability to distinguish and identify opportunities for Delta State University.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent writing and verbal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes.
• Proficiency in research, interpreting, and analyzing diverse data.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel), and database management skills.
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively and independently with purpose and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work remotely or in-office. If remote, be willing to abide by the remote work policy at DSU
Salary:
Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree.
• A record of securing major grants with certifiable references.
• Knowledge of the grant application process, scoring criteria, and funding cycles.
• Previous grant application, submission, approval, and management of funds.
