Location : Hickory, North Carolina
The development analyst supports fundraising operations at Lenoir-Rhyne under the supervision of the Executive Director of Advancement Services. The position is part of an operations team supporting fundraisers and alumni relations team members. The position maintains the overall accuracy and confidentiality of records, assists in writing queries and creating lists, supports fundraisers by helping to manage their portfolios, and performs prospect research. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is looking to build their expertise in advancement services.
Description of Duties and Tasks
- Create queries and reports as requested.
- Independently develop analysis to support fundraiser actions and strategy.
- Proactively maintain the integrity and quality of records in the database.
- Develop, implement and maintain workflows.
- Author and maintain documentation of business procedures.
- Support the production of communications, mailings and registration lists.
- Assist with gift entry, event activities and other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- Proficient in the use of CRMs or relational databases.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel
- Proficient user of Raiser’s Edge NXT
- Experience in concepts and approaches to fundraising in nonprofits or higher education
- Logical and analytical approach to problem-solving.
- A high degree of accuracy and reliability.
- Experience manipulating large data sets
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Discretion and sensitivity in handling highly confidential donor information.
Wage Class : Hourly, Full-time
