Faculty Position Description: Clinical Instructor/Assistant Professor, Clinical track PART-TIME


Position Description
The Division of Occupational and Environmental Health is seeking an outstanding clinical physician educator to join our multidisciplinary faculty. You will be joining a strong Occupational Medicine faculty group and have opportunities to teach Occupational medicine residents, medical students, and other health science trainees.

You will serve as a physician faculty member in the Division of Occupational and Environmental Health at the University of Utah. This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care, the highest standard of training for medical students and residents, and participation in multidisciplinary scholarship. It will be an ambulatory-based position with clinical work conducted at the division's clinical sites. We focus on interdisciplinary team-based care, including clinical care, regulatory exams, return to work, fitness for duty, and medical surveillance.

Responsibilities:
  • 0.5 FTE - Clinical care. Provide full-spectrum, primary to tertiary occupational medicine clinical services at the University of Utah occupational medicine clinics. This also includes frequent precepting and mentoring of residents in the clinic.

    Qualifications:
  • Board certification by The American Board of Preventive Medicine, Occupational Medicine. Or successful completion of residency training in occupational medicine and must be board certificated by The American Board of Preventive Medicine, Occupational Medicine within 2-years of graduation.
  • Unrestricted Utah State medical license
  • Experience in clinical medicine, teaching, and scholarship is preferred
