Job Summary

The Department of Pharmacy Practice within the College of Pharmacy at Purdue University invites applications for a 12-month acute care clinical assistant/associate professor position (non-tenure track) starting in July 2025.

The successful candidate will engage in teaching, service and scholarship activities in accordance with the College of Pharmacy’s mission to educate and train students to become leading pharmacists and scientists, advance scientific discovery and development, and maximize global health outcomes through patient care and public service.  The responsibilities of the position will include the following:
 
•    Teach clinical pharmacy topics within the Doctor of Pharmacy degree program
•    Establish an acute care (any specialty) clinical pharmacy practice for experiential training and patient care
•    Perform scholarly activities based on clinical and/or educational endeavors
•    Engage with community partners for collaboration in research and student development 
 
The Department of Pharmacy Practice is highly integrative and collaborative. The mission of the department is to demonstrate excellence through performance in the areas of teaching, service, and scholarship. The Department consists of clinical and tenure-track faculty and has a clinical footprint in West Lafayette and Indianapolis, Indiana. The successful candidate will join one of the largest departments in pharmacy practice in the country, and provide high-quality teaching in the College’s professional program, engage in productive interdisciplinary research, and participate in service activities at various levels.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 
•    PharmD degree from an ACPE accredited Doctor of Pharmacy Program
•    Completion of Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) and Post Graduate Year 2 (PGY2) Residency/Fellowship Training/or equivalent experience
•    Excellent organizational and communication skills 
•    Ability to work independently and effectively interact with students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents
•    Evidence of or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a professional pharmacist by start date

Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Experience in infectious diseases, internal medicine, critical care, or other applicable acute care pharmacy specialty
•    Evidence of teaching excellence
