Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in science, engineering, humanities, or technical writing.
- Three years of full-time grant writing experience.
- Advanced writing, editing, and oral communication skills.
- Fluency in communication techniques relevant to health and biosciences.
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and collaborative endeavors.
- Knowledge specific to the funding and compliance landscape for health and biosciences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in science, engineering, humanities, or technical writing.
- Five years of full-time grant writing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and synthesize faculty research.
- Demonstrated experience developing, delivering, and evaluating trainings and workshops for professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Research Development, the Biosciences Grant Writer will support sponsored research initiatives by co-writing and developing grant proposals for academic researchers in the health and bioscience fields. This role will focus on collaboration with academic researchers to support their work and produce high-quality, competitive proposals, and will develop and implement training for researchers in grantsmanship. Other duties may include process development, data tracking, program administration, and similar responsibilities as assigned.
Job Duties:
- Co-write and co-develop biosciences-related proposals for funding to be submitted to private and public sponsors.
- Create and implement workshops and trainings in grantsmanship.
- Collaborate with campus stakeholders who support the research enterprise.
- Other duties as assigned.

- This position supports academic researchers and does not conduct independent research.
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
- This position is eligible for 50% remote work after an initial training period.
