Position Title
Accounts Payable Supervisor

Overview

Oversee the timely and accurate processing of all Accounts Payable obligations of the College.

Essential Duties:
  • Manage the day-to-day accounts payable workflow and ensure disbursements are timely and accurate. Ensure all College policies and procedures are met. Research and resolve discrepancies. Oversee system maintenance as it relates to vendor records. (35%)
  • Effectively train, supervise, lead, and direct the accounts payable staff. Manage and prioritize staff workload. Prepare annual staff evaluations. (25%)
  • Prepare and file IRS 1099 forms. Ensure W-9 forms are obtained from vendors and manage an accurate recordkeeping system. (15%)
  • Act as liaison to employees, departments, and external vendors and effectively communicate policies and procedures. ( I 0%)
  • Oversee testing and implementation of accounts payable system enhancements and upgrades. (10%)
Marginal Duties:
  • Participate in special projects as assigned. (5%)
  • Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience Required
  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Five years’ of accounts payable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Advanced working knowledge of accounts payable systems.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under deadline pressure and to prioritize assignments while juggling multiple tasks.

  • Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
  • Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard
