Open Rank Visiting Teaching Professor, Art Design
About the Opportunity
The Department of Art + Design in the College of Arts, Media and Design invites applications for Visiting Assistant / Associate Teaching Professors (open rank, non-tenure track) in a range of design practices including Visual Communication, Graphic and Information Design, Experience and Interaction Design. We seek candidates with a record of excellent creative practice, innovative pedagogy, significant exhibited and/or published work and relevant teaching expertise in the fields of graphic design, data visualization, experience design; media arts; creative technologies; games; and/or fundamentals. Faculty duties include teaching courses at the graduate and/or undergraduate level, and evaluating student progress. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in and capacity for delivering undergraduate fundamentals and mid- to upper-level design undergraduate courses in our programs in Design and/or Media Arts. Candidates must have teaching experience of at least 1 year at the college level and a doctorate in Design, MFA, or comparable terminal degree completed prior to the start of the appointment
