The University of Southern Indiana seeks applications for a renewable, 12-month Instructor in Nursing.
Position begins January 2025, or when filled. This is a federally grant funded position through May 31, 2026. The University of Southern Indiana will review converting the position to be university-funded after the grant period ends.
Duties/Responsibilities
This position will assume classroom teaching responsibilities as well as clinical supervision of students in the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Qualified candidates must have a master's degree in Nursing. Candidates with a graduate degree other than Nursing will be considered qualified if they hold an active registered nurse license and have nursing practice experience. The candidate must hold a graduate degree in a field appropriate to their nursing faculty teaching or clinical responsibilities. If such a candidate is selected for the position, their hiring is contingent upon them having a written plan of study for completion of the master’s of science in Nursing degree (MSN) and must matriculate into a college or university MSN program within 10 months of hire and must demonstrate orderly progression toward the degree completion throughout their appointment.
All candidates must also hold a valid and unencumbered Indiana (or compact) RN license.
