Georgia State University’s Instructional Innovation and Technology (IIT) is seeking a skilled and diverse professional Manager, Instructional Support Programs to join our vibrant and growing team. Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director, Learning Environments Resources and Support, this position will create the instructional knowledgebase, workflows, and faculty trainings to address the increased focus on technology use in the classroom and the need for hybrid/flexible models.
HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL DO
The scope of responsibilities for this position will include these essential duties but is not limited to the following:
· Apply instructional design principles and pedagogical best practices to create and design instructional knowledge base, workflows, and training offerings to maximum effectiveness in relation to the technology available in line with services and programs being offered. Identifying key areas where additional instructional resources can improve or enhance University initiatives.
· Coordinate instructional design project work, leadership and project management, and serve as project manager for instructional design projects, communicating progress to leadership.
· Mentor employees and student assistants with the coordination, distribution and support of technology related to supplemental instructional support and events in general schedule spaces.
· Gather and produce detailed reports on the efficacy of available knowledgebase from the faculty community and recommend changes in modality to increase utilization and program alignment.
· Collaborate with other department leaders in the creation, delivery and awareness of instructional knowledge base, workflows, and training offerings.
Qualifications :
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to train faculty/staff on instructional technology and pedagogical tools in a higher education setting.
· Experience with Faculty Development Programs and designing, implementing, or supporting simulcast or hybrid teaching environments.
· Skills: Project Management, Resource Management, Data-Driven Decision Making
· Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Pedagogical Best Practices
· Superior communication skills with an emphasis on clear, supportive instruction and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
