Overview:
Quinnipiac University invites applications for Administrative Assistant, Residential Life/Housing. This position will perform administrative, staff assistance, and clerical duties required to support the Offices of Residential Life/Housing.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Front Desk receptionist and coordinate the student assistant work schedules, training, and assigning duties.
  • Perform all clerical duties such as: correspondence, reports, forms, statistical data, data entry, expense reconciliation, programming of key cards, photocopying, etc.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for completing daily tasks.
  • Communicate professionally and with a positive attitude with parents/families, students, and campus partners.
  • Review incoming mail and packages for appropriate distribution and action.
  • Take messages, relay information, respond to voicemail and email messages for Residential Life/Housing inboxes, and answer questions within scope of knowledge and authority.
  • Responsible for organizing, filing, and instant retrieval of department information.
  • Maintain a variety of records such as: residence hall assignments, payments, contracts, and room keys.
  • Maintain student housing data in the Housing software system.
  • Order and track supplies for Residential Life/Housing.
  • Arrange meetings, notify participants, and prepare required materials.
  • Submit facilities work requests and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Other clerical duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Administrative Assistant experience including Microsoft Office experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
