Responsibilities
The tenure-line faculty will teach undergraduate and graduate-level (master’s and doctoral) courses in educational technology. In accordance with the department’s approved workload policy, tenure-line faculty have a 2/2 teaching load beginning in year 3. In years 1 and 2, tenure-line faculty teach a reduced load of 1/2 or 2/1. Other responsibilities include developing an active research agenda, advising master’s and doctoral students specializing in educational technology; chairing and/or serving on theses and doctoral dissertation committees; and contributing to program and college partnership initiatives. Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.
Minimum Qualifications
- Earned doctorate from an accredited university in Educational Technology or a closely related field.
- Experience teaching in K-12 settings
Preferred Qualifications

Evidence of excellence or potential for excellence in research in the field of educational technology.
- Excellence, or potential for excellence in teaching college-level educational technology courses
- Experience teaching hybrid and/or online courses
- Ability or demonstrated potential to mentor and supervise graduate students as researchers and/or college-level instructors
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
- Strong identity as an educational technology/instructional design educator
