Description
Flagler College is seeking a new sport management faculty member who brings strong teaching credentials and a will to engage in mentorship, scholarship and service. This i s a full-time, tenure-track equivalent position to begin in August 2025. The annual teaching requirement is 4/4. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with rank and experience. The Sport Management program, part of Flagler College’s pre-professional curriculum, prepares students for productive careers in the unique, multibillion-dollar sport industry. The program provides students with a traditional academic foundation as well as high impact practices of experiential learning and Internships to develop ethical, problem-solving young professionals. It contains approximately 150 undergraduate students. Qualifications
Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in Sport Management, or a terminal degree in a closely related field. Evidence of excellence in teaching, as well as teaching and/or industry experience in an area such as sport law, facility and event management, sport sales, sport ethics, administration and/or sport governance and policy, are also required. Preferred qualifications include industry experience supervision of student internships and other practical experiences, interdisciplinary study and work, sport-specific technology and computer a pplications, and undergraduate academic advising. A dedication to a diverse and inclusive learning environment is also sought.
