Job Summary

This position serves as a resource for HR data information and records management for all areas within HR; uses problem-solving skills to untangle HR data management issues, understand dataflows, and takes action to resolve downstream issues in contracts processing; works with managers, directors, HRIS colleagues, IT, recruitment, benefits, and payroll to resolve data issues; handles contractual employee personnel action form ( EPAF ) inquiries, conducts new hire audits, enters data into Workday; serves as the liaison with departments to correct/update system data and information.

Job Duties

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for day-to-day employee inquiries regarding contracts, employee data, system updates, and HRIS processes
  • Responsible for contract ( EPAF and PF10) review, approval, and processing
  • Manages error reports and Argos (reporting) updates
  • Responsible for another miscellaneous task, which may include but is not limited to HRIS data audits and reports
  • Supports HRIS team by providing resources to enhance customer service
  • Resolves employee questions and concerns that may include contracts and system updates
  • Reviews reports and data to make recommendations to the Assistant Director, HRIS & Records Mgmt. and HR team
  • Consistently interact with different departments to educate on HRIS /contractual processes
  • Conducts contractual workshops to educate the campus on the contract initiation process
  • Collaborates on process improvement for areas of responsibility, as well as policy and procedure documentation for HRIS
Requested Minimum Qualifications

Education:
The successful candidate must have a Bachelors’ Degree in Information Systems, Human Resource Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:
A minimum of two (4) years of Human Resources work and/or support emphasizing successful and innovative data management practices is required.

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Five (5) years of Human Resources work and/or support, with an emphasis on successful and innovative data management practices.
  • Experience working in higher education.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • A combination of education and experience is acceptable
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Highly proficient in HRIS databases and systems (preferably Banner, Workday, and/or PeopleAdmin)
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Highly proficient in Google (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Meet, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.)
  • Proficient with DocuSign
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee data
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to both internal and external customers
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and initiate process improvements
  • Extensive experience working with spreadsheets, word processing, and database software
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, time, and project management abilities
  • Ability to be self-directed and embrace decision-making responsibilities
