Assistant/Associate Full Professor of Management

About the Opportunity

The Management and Organizational Development (MOD) Group within the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University in Boston is seeking to hire a tenured or tenure-track faculty with interdisciplinary interests between organizational behavior/management and the future of technology/design. We are specifically seeking applicants with research and teaching expertise focused on the future of work and AI. This might include, but is not limited to, scholars engaged in impactful scholarship related to human-AI interaction, human-centered AI, organizational/work redesign, ethical use of data, and brainstorming and extended reality experiences. Candidates will be considered for a joint appointment between the D'Amore-McKim School of Business and the College of Arts Media and Design.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will develop and execute an independent research program; teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels; and participate in service to the group, DMSB, CAMD, Northeastern University, and the discipline.

Research 40- 50%
  • Research duties include, but are not limited to, publishing in top tier journals in the field(s).


Teaching 40%
  • Teaching duties include, but are not limited to, serving as an instructor for courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.


Service 10-20%
  • Service duties include (but are not limited to) serving on committees at the group, school, college and/or university level.


Qualifications:

Candidates are required to hold a doctorate in Management or a related field by the employment start date. Experienced candidates should have a significant research record and leadership potential. Academic rank at the Associate Professor and Full Professor levels will be commensurate with experience and qualifications reflecting a record of demonstrated teaching and scholarly excellence. For Associate Professor level appointments, 5 years of related experience is required by the employment start date. For Full Professor level appointments, 7 years of related experience is required by the employment start date. Candidates must have backgrounds in or commitment to working with diverse student populations and/or in culturally diverse work and educational environments.
