Position Purpose
To provide all aspects of direct patron service at the Baker-Berry public service desks and provide support for other areas of Access and Delivery Services and the library.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp
Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
● Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
● Demonstrated ability to organize work efficiently; set and modify work priorities; while under pressure and despite interruptions.
● Ability to work collegially in a team environment.
● Customer service experience with a diverse clientele.
Preferred Qualifications
● Two to three years relevant library experience.

Key Accountabilities
Description
Staff public service desks at Baker-Berry Library, performing various patron related duties. Responds to a variety of in-person, telephone, and email information requests and refers questions to librarians as appropriate. May serve as a staff member responsible for Baker-Berry Library on assigned weekends, evenings, intersessions, and holidays. Monitors building security and contacts Safety and Security should problems arise.
