Summary

The Section of Epidemiology is seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented HR Coordinator to support the recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes. This role will also provide operational support for the section, including finance and business process assistance for faculty and staff. The ideal candidate will be proactive and committed to achieving organizational excellence.

This position may offer the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement at a later date.

Job Duties

Key Responsibilities:

HR Coordination:

  • Organizes and arranges interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for new hires, providing assistance and guidance during their initial days.
  • Acts as the main resource for employees throughout the offboarding process, responding to questions and concerns.
  • Keeps an updated checklist for onboarding and offboarding company property, such as keys, ID badges, and electronic devices.
  • Ensures timely collection of all assigned company assets prior to the employee's last working day.
Business Operations Support:

  • Manages Concur-related expenses for designated faculty, including domestic and international travel.
  • Oversees supply chain and inventory processes.
  • Drafts both formal and informal communications, including creating and formatting presentations.
  • Assists Section Chief with managing and maintaining their calendar.
  • Coordinates and assist in organization section meetings, events, conferences, annual retreats, and various other activities.
  • Provides additional support to faculty and staff as needed.
  • Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and proactive, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in collaborating effectively within a team while also working independently, demonstrating adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
