The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and completion of Global Health fellowship is preferred.
Teaching responsibilities may include clinical training and supervision of medical students and residents and participation in formal teaching curriculum as well as mentorship of fellows and OB/GYN residents.
Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient prenatal and gynecology care, labor and delivery coverage, and gynecologic surgery. Global health related activities may include international travel.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include basic, translational and/or clinical research. Candidates will work closely with an outstanding well-funded Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Penn Medicine Center for Global Health.
The successful candidate would join Penn Medicine Division of Academic Specialists, a group of full-time obstetricians and gynecologists and advanced practice providers including midwives in a faculty practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills are required. A commitment to resident and medical student education is required. The successful candidate will receive fully-covered malpractice insurance and practice in a supportive environment that provides professional and personal fulfillment and career-long learning.
