Essential Duties Summary
- Lead the development and execution of holistic student support strategies with innovation and foresight.
- Build dynamic partnerships across campus and beyond, connecting students with real-world opportunities through internships, research collaborations, and service initiatives.
- Align initiatives with the university’s mission and goals to enhance student success.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to design evidence-based initiatives.
- Lead the creation and execution of a dynamic experiential learning portfolio to drive student engagement and career preparedness.
- Implement tutoring, mentoring, and support programs.
- Create and implement strategies to enhance student engagement on campus.
- Manage and expand experiential learning opportunities, including internships, co-ops, service learning, and undergraduate research, to enhance student engagement and career preparation.
- Build programs that facilitate a smooth transition for first-year students into university life.
- Address challenges specific to the first-year experience.
- Provide leadership in advising services related to enrollment and completion.
- Ensure students receive guidance on academic requirements and progress toward graduation.
- Regularly report on the effectiveness of initiatives to the Office of the Provost.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to improve student retention rates.
- Analyze trends, identify challenges, and propose solutions to enhance matriculation success.
- Create and Preserve strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external organizations.
- Cultivate positive campus partnerships for collaborative initiatives.
- Foster collaboration to create a holistic support network for students.
- Manage the budget allocated for first-year experience, retention, and experiential learning initiatives.
- Ensure resources are allocated effectively to achieve program goals.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficient in organizational and time management, with the ability to handle complex systems, multiple projects, and strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Banner, Events Management Systems, and other job-related databases and software is required.
- Knowledgeable in technical accounting, including reporting financial accounting data, budget creation and projection over multiple years, monitoring, collecting, and recording fiscal data, and generating financial reports.
- Overall, exceptional oral and written communication skills along with strong organizational abilities are necessary.
Five (5) years of related leadership experience.
Working/Environmental Conditions
- Routine office environment.
- Sitting or standing in one location much of the time.
- Some stooping, lifting, or carrying of objects lightweight may be required.
