Key Responsibilities
Juniata College, a nationally ranked liberal arts college of 1200 students located in the scenic Allegheny Mountains of central Pennsylvania, anticipates hiring for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Statistics to begin August 2025 . The teaching load for this position will be 21 credit hours for the academic year.
We are looking for someone with demonstrated excellence as a classroom instructor who can offer statistics and data science courses. Experience with R and the use of technology in teaching statistics and data science courses is a definite plus. Candidates who can provided mentored research opportunities in statistics and data science are preferred.The salary range for an Assistant Professor of Statistics is $67,500 to $82,500 dependent on experience.

Position Qualifications
Preferably, candidates will have a Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, data science, or a related field.
Supervision Required/Given
This position reports to the Chair of the Mathematics Department.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with R and the use of technology in teaching statistics and data science courses.
