Summary

The Senior Clinical Applications Associate provides daily operational analysis, support and maintenance for the Epic Revenue Cycle Applications used by the Baylor College of Medicine clinical departments. This analyst participates in professional billing, claims and project management activities for clinical systems related to the clinical practice.

The Clinical Technology department at Baylor College of Medicine provides technology services, support and partnership in delivering key values to the mission of Baylor College of Medicine. The Epic Revenue Cycle analyst works closely with finance and billing teams to provide support and optimize the Epic Resolute Professional Billing and Claims modules to streamline billing, collections, and revenue processes.

Job Duties
  • Supports and maintains Epic's Professional Billing and Claims applications.
  • Participates in weekly operational change control meetings with Patient Business Services revenue cycle staff regarding build requests for Epic billing related workflows.
  • Provides end-user coaching and contributes with development of training documentation in regards to the professional billing and claims workflows within Epic
  • Advises enhancement, upgrades and maintenance activities across the breadth of revenue cycle applications.
  • Responsible for detailed documentation of build fixes within IT change management system.
  • Provides in person, telephone, and virtual support to users for Epic upgrades and other clinical project go-lives.
  • Addresses professional billing and claims issues directly with customers while providing technical solutions.
  • Collaborates with Clinical IT teams for optimization, maintenance and projects activities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree. Four years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification and build experience in one of the modules listed below and understanding of general revenue and claims workflows
  • Epic certification in one of the below applications is preferred:
  • Professional Billing
  • Charge Router
  • Claims
  • Electronic Remittance
