Course Description:
Introduction to research methods in social work and the critical appraisal of empirical research. Explores quantitative, qualitative, mixed research methods, and ethical issues in the conduct of research. Primarily focuses on foundational research knowledge and skills fundamental to evidence-based practice in social work.
Minimum qualifications:
- A Master of Social Work
- Five years of post-MSW experience
- Two years of experience in a research, grant, or data analyst related position
- Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working within the State of California is a condition of employment.
- A doctoral degree in Social Work or in a closely related field
- Experience in teaching university classes and with instructional technology
- Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
- Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month
- CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month
