Job Summary

The Gogue Performing Arts Center at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Multimedia Specialist who will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance and distribution of graphic web page content. This individual will provide creative, technical and service related support for a range of media technologies, formats and distribution channels.

Essential Functions
  • Assists with production of electronic communications efforts in collaboration with a team of communications, writing, and editing professionals to include (but not limited to) production, design, and electronic distribution efforts.
  • Designs and implements effective Web pages for the University and campus departments.
  • Plans web site content and graphics to mirror the overall Communications and Marketing plan and University mission.
  • Assists in producing and distributing internal and/or external stories, articles, newsletters, advertisements, invitations and/or news releases for publications, the media, and other outlets.
  • Assists in developing and implementing Web standards and templates that reflect institutional marketing standards.
  • Consults with campus communicators on Web strategies, Web maintenance issues, and/or Web template usage.
  • Provides technical design and implementation solutions as well as creative input and design.
  • Participates in projects and cross functional activities related to technical and creative needs of the media and/ or projects.
  • Provides quality control of production processes including (but not limited to) monitoring and improving the technical quality of the product, the speed of delivery, and the interaction of the staff and clientele, and product reliability.
  • Provides service support for media technologies including (but not limited to) photography and video editing; film and video production; broadcast television; complex computer animations, motion media design, and special effects; and authoring, computer, internet and graphic applications.
  • Assists with performance and event photography and videography and subsequent photo and video editing.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Communications and Marketing.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 10 years of experience in multimedia technologies
OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Broadcasting, Film or Television Production, Web Design, Digital Media, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in multimedia technologies.
OR
  • Master’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Broadcasting, Film or Television Production, Web Design, Digital Media, or related field.
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications

  • Experience in multimedia technologies.
