Position Function

The CRM Systems Manager will serve as an expert in the Enrollment Planning and Management ( EPM ) division’s Customer Relationship Management ( CRM ) solution. This individual will support the CRM team by providing overall management of the CRM functionality to include applications, document management, inquiry and prospect data uploads, queries and reporting, communication support, event management, user training, and system integrations.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum Experience

At least one year of professional IT experience including project management experience, or two years in higher education operations or related field. Strong understanding of the CRM platforms, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, rules, queries, dashboards, and workflows.

Minimum Other

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and on cross-functional teams, creative problem-solving skills, ethical, and trustworthy. Ability to quickly adapt and become familiar with university processes and procedures and quickly establish rapport and confidence among multiple university units and levels of the organization.

Authorization to work in the US

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technology or business-related program.

Experience with the Admissions CRM (Slate). Experience with the ERP SIS solution utilized at Ball State University (Ellucian Banner).

Participate in strategic multi-team project development and maintenance. Coordinate and communicate with vendors, Enrollment Planning and Management ( EPM ), Information Technology Services, and all other university stakeholders.

Automate integration of admission and student information data systems. Provide integration support for data needs with outside vendors. Responsible for data import from internal systems, external systems, and vendors.

Gather detailed requests for improvements or changes to the system, and implement these changes as appropriate. Design, build proof-of-concepts, and test new applications, functionality, and integrations. Troubleshoot and debug newly developed functionality.
