The University of Pennsylvania (Penn) Graduate School of Education (GSE) invites applications for a full-time Associate or Full Professor of K-12 Educational Leadership.

Located in urban Philadelphia, Penn GSE is dedicated to supporting K-12 educational leadership locally, as well as nationally and globally. We are looking for a colleague to contribute to this work through innovative research that aids educational leaders to support learning and school climate, redress social inequalities, and improve the life-long outcomes that are fundamental to the public provision of education.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate and an outstanding record of research, funding productivity, and teaching expertise, commensurate with experience level, focusing on K-12 educational leadership, with attention paid to the ways in which K-12 educational leaders work to promote opportunity and equity. In particular, Penn GSE seeks a scholar whose research contributes knowledge to the field while also informing school and district leaders in areas such as organizing schools and districts to support educational opportunity and equity; resource alignment to promote equity and excellence; navigating political and societal demands on schools; strengthening instructional coaching and other instructional improvement efforts; building and sustaining an inclusive school climate; and faculty and/or school leader recruitment, development, and retention. We welcome candidates representing different disciplinary perspectives and methodological approaches.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success working with K-12 educational leaders at the federal, state, district, and /or school levels, preferably through Research Practice Partnerships aimed at improving outcomes for students, educators, and their local communities. The successful candidate will provide leadership in GSE's efforts to interweave research and practice in its K-12 educational leadership programs and centers. Depending on the candidate's interest, there may also be an opportunity for the successful candidate to take a leadership role in Penn GSE's McGraw Center for Educational Leadership.
