The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of molecular biology, neurobiology and super-resolution microscopy, focusing on investigations of neurodegenerative diseases. Candidates with demonstrated expertise in Parkinson's Disease and synucleinopathies will be prioritized. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing independent, externally funded research program and collaborative programs that align with the scope of the Center of Neurodegenerative Diseases Research (CNDR) and Neuropathology, and maintaining continuous scholarly productivity and scientific impact at the national level.

Candidates are expected to have an outstanding scientific background, with a minimum of four years of postdoctoral research experience, and to compete for or to have obtained national or international funding, and to demonstrate their ability to integrate within the Department.
