The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Clinical Pathology. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and Board Certification in Clinical Pathology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include responsibilities in coagulation, point of care, and immunology. Areas of opportunity include clinical consultation, laboratory stewardship, system harmonization, and quality improvement projects. This position will provide input into assay selection, prioritization, validation and testing workflows.

Experience or interest in laboratory informatics will be viewed favorably.
