Responsibilities:
This is a part-time teacher position in the UMHB Arts Academy.

THIS POSTING IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF AN OPEN POSITION. Applications for part-time Arts Academy Teacher positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed when openings become available.

The UMHB Arts Academy seeks qualified Christian teachers of music, visual arts, or dance to join our Arts Academy.

Our current musical offerings include piano, strings, woodwinds, guitar, and voice.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University's mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
  • Demonstrated abilities as an artist, performer, teacher, or musician.
  • Ability to teach students with varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Teaching experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated evidence of effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Must agree to the University's Employee Statement of Understanding.
Salaries and Benefits: Salary is commensurate with experience. Part time employees are eligible for the following benefits:
  • Membership for employee, spouse and eligible dependents at Mayborn Campus Center facility
  • Access to UMHB Library
  • Access to free UMHB events
  • Voluntary contributions to UMHB's 403(b) retirement savings program (no university match is available)
  • Insurance and other benefits are not available for this position
