Job Summary
The Department of Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) invites applications for one full-time non-tenure track faculty at the level of Senior Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Instruction in the general areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering to start in August 2025. The position will be located at UT Tyler's Houston Engineering Center (https://www.uttyler.edu/engineering/houston-engineering-center/). Applicants for the position must have a sincere commitment to developing and teaching a wide range of Electrical and Computer Engineering courses and laboratories both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Preference will be given to candidates with experience or the ability to develop and teach computer engineering courses at various levels. Essential Functions
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
- Participate in curriculum development
- Develop and grow research programs
Required Qualifications
- MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a closely related field and a commitment to excellence in teaching are required

Additional Information
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code Section 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
