We provide robust methodological training, core courses in theory, and a wide range of electives, and in recent years have seen our graduates attend some of the top doctoral programs in the country as well as contributing in a variety of professional settings as applied sociologists. The East European and Russian Studies Program offers both a major in East European and Russian Studies and a minor in Russian Language and Culture and prepares students for subsequent opportunities such as international journalism, business, law, nonprofit work, film and Slavic studies.
