Summary
The Zhao lab is interested in exploring the molecular and cellular mechanisms, as well as the neurocircuitry underlying our interoception. The lab is seeking a highly motivated Research Technician I to join our lab at Baylor College of Medicine. Technician will assist in conducting experiments, managing laboratory supplies, and maintaining equipment. Key responsibilities that include supporting ongoing research projects, performing data analysis, and collaborating with team members.
Job Duties
- Conducts routine laboratory experiments and procedures.
- Manages and maintains laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Prepares reagents, media, and other materials necessary for experiments.
- Records, analyzes, and interprets data accurately.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Provides general support to researchers and students within the lab.
- Works closely with faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students.
- Manages and maintains laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Ensures compliance with laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensures all research activities comply with institutional and federal regulations.
- Adheres to ethical standards in the conduct of research, particularly in the handling of biological samples and data management.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
- Effective communication, a strong sense of responsibility, and teamwork are essential for the success of our research projects.
