The nature and purpose of this position is Project Management. This position will support the director of procurement with the design and development of a technical representative program. Assist requirement generators with developing procurement documents, including performance work statements ( PWS ), statements of work ( SOW ), independent cost estimates, source selection evaluation criteria, and other duties as assigned.

Job Summary
The nature and purpose of this position is Project Management. This position will support the director of procurement with the design and development of a technical representative program. Job Duties
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create a technical representative program.
- Write performance work statements ( PWS )/Statements of Work ( SOW )
- Provide cost estimates and establish independent cost estimates for customers.
- Support technical representatives in the field with tools for inspection and acceptance.
- Provide training and support for technical representatives as needed.
- Monitor project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of procurement contracts, agreements, and transactions.
- Report on project status to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration and ensure optimal service delivery.
- Lead and manage procurement projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project timelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION :
Associate Degree required from an accredited university.
EXPERIENCE :
5 Years of experience in procurement and project management
Other Preferences for Consideration
- Project Management Professional ( PMP ), Certified Associate in Project Management ( CAPM )
- Bachelor Degree
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- In-depth understanding of procurement regulations, policies, and procedures, particularly within a higher education environment, including public sector or government procurement laws.
- Strong ability to negotiate terms with vendors and suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels.
- Skilled in monitoring and controlling project and procurement budgets to ensure financial efficiency and compliance with university policies.
- Ability to resolve procurement challenges quickly and efficiently, including supply chain disruptions, contract disputes, or vendor performance issues.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and university procurement guidelines.
