QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements: Master’s degree in music or equivalent with demonstrated pedagogical skills and extensive experience as a performing professional musician or equivalent.
Experience Requirements: Preference will be given to applicants who have previous experience teaching at the secondary and/or college levels, and the ability to teach on various wind instruments.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Department of Music at Harper College invites applications for an adjunct position in applied instruction. Candidates should possess expertise in vocal performance and pedagogy of varying genres in tenor/bass vocal ranges. The faculty member selected will be expected to conduct and teach students in 100 and 200-level applied instruction lessons in voice on both the credit and community education side of the Music Department. Other responsibilities can include being an instructor for Aural Skills courses, and various departmental responsibilities including advising, outreach and recruitment.
Starting Pay Rate: $45 per hour of private lesson instruction.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Liberal Arts division provides transfer ready courses to students in the areas of English, humanities, language, linguistics, communication and philosophy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of the position:
- Teach both credit and community education students in 100 and 200-level applied instruction lessons in voice.
- Could include covering Aural Skills courses when needed.
